Hi, I'm Megan — Registered Dietitian & Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist.
With a master’s degree focused on metabolism and diabetes care, I became deeply fascinated by the science of how the body works — how food, hormones, and blood sugar interact — and how small, strategic choices can create real, measurable changes.

Over thousands of clinical hours, I’ve worked with people newly diagnosed and those who’ve struggled for years to get their numbers under control. I began to notice common frustrations, barriers, and patterns — and realized that understanding the science isn’t enough if it isn’t translated into simple, realistic actions people can actually apply.

That’s what drives my work: bridging the gap between complex physiology and daily life. I help you understand the “why” behind what’s happening in your body, then turn that knowledge into practical tools — like balanced meal plans, grocery guides, and daily routines — that make blood sugar management feel natural, not stressful.

I believe people in all walks of life deserve to feel respected, capable, and supported. This is why Thrive With NOA was created, to bring together evidence-based science, compassionate coaching, and real-world strategies to help you take control of your health — with confidence, clarity, and long-term success.

 

How Thrive With NOA (TWNOA) was created

Early in my career, I saw how overwhelmed people felt after a diabetes diagnosis- handed a list of restrictions instead of a roadmap to feel better. I realized that education without empathy leave people stuck, and thats why I built TWNOA- to make managing diabetes clear, compassionate and doable. It also was designed to bring people together for a sense of community and access to ongoing resources.

TWNOA Approach and Philosophy: the 1% Method

Here at TWNOA, we believe  true change doesn't come from drastic overhauls, it comes from small, consistent actions that build over time. A few mindful choices each day can completely change the trajectory of your health and your life. This is how the 1% Method was created. Knowing that the small, simple and sustainable habits you have built along the way compound over time to change the trajectory of your life.

The six week Balanced Blood Sugar Blueprint does not tell you what to cut out, It teaches you what to add in. You will learn to build balanced meals, understand your body's cues and create structure that supports your energy, blood sugar and confidence.
